#8 A Vacation from the Vacation

This is a pretty unusual sight. They are either gathering for some family time or in for the kill. Sometimes those are quite interchangeable...... This was hilarious. I'm sitting in the lobby at Casa Manana waiting for my cab and talking to the people at the desk through this plant and no one saw anything strange about this situation at all!!! I was trying so hard not to laugh!!! Another one of those times..... This kind of art can be seen all over the place. I just love the colours and the joy they represent.  No wonder my breakfast took forever to come. When it arrived, it was obviously a piece of art and delicious!!!! FYI - When you travel and it takes forever to get your juice, it is probably because someone back in the kitchen is squeezing those oranges for you. Nectar of the gods!!! Friday morning and the oyster divers are out there by the drove. You can't get fresher oysters than here on this coast. Out of the ocean. Onto your plate!!! I hope to have one more dozen be...

Opening with toilet paper is probably a good sign that things aren't great here and we are still basically going through a shitty time. Looks like I have Dengue now. This is my day 4. Doc came yesterday, Sunday and a holiday. Hard to beat that kind of service. Lab guy came this morning and took blood. Twice as much as Ray and twice the price!!! $49.67 I know this toilet paper is an environmental hazard but right now, it is a highlight of my day!!!!!!!! Smells lovely too. Meet Pepe. Love the colours and art every where. These larger pieces belong in museums or hotel lobby or skyscraper office. Everyone has hidden figures, f...

He isn't a huge beach fan so I thought no problem go ahead.  Monday morning Ray had a dental appointment to get two fillings. One of the fillings turned into dental surgery and that wasn't happening here and now!!! The dentist wanted to clean his teeth and when I objected as they had just been cleaned a month before he started to demonstrate how yuck they were. Ok, clean those nasty things!!! I asked her if she was a dentist and she said yes and then turned into a hygienist. Just shows how good my Spanish is!!! Here the doc is showing Ray what needs to be operated on.....He dropped one of this tools and then put it back in Ray's mouth. OMG!!!! Did I just see that??? Surely now!!! We left the office after paying $43 for the cleaning and excitement and headed up the street to the market...
